Virtual Confessions
Virtual Confessions is a book that examines and researches social behavior in virtual spaces. We proposed the following idea: Do people maintain real world moral and ethical boundaries in virtual spaces? (How much do peoples personality and behavior change in online environments and is it something to worry about?) In response to this question we created a confession box within Second Life. The device invited residents to anonymously leave confessional statements, secrets and other private thoughts. The intension was to design a catalyst for discussion, something that would generate a debate about peoples behavior between virtual and real spaces. Produced in colaboration with Tony Mullin.
